Description

The young filly stood on top of the hill, her eyes looked down on all the other foals grazing with their mothers. Her blue eyes longed to have a mother of her own to stand next to, to reassure her that everything was safe and well. Her ears pricked when she heard the rustling of legs moving through tall blades of grass. She turned her head to see who it was. Her father stood behind her, his eyes locked with hers for a moment before he continued to move forward. Soon he stood at his daughters side. The filly leaned gently against her fathers belly.

"Daddy?" The little filly said, lifting her head from his side so that she could look him in the eye, "Why don't I have a momma?"

The stallion clenched his eyes shut tight, he had hoped that she would never ask this. "Aponi..." He murmered, the filly listened intently, but her father said nothing more than her name.

I feel sorry for Aponi Her mother died while giving birth to her, and her father found the young filly laying down next to the body of the mare he had loved with a butterfly resting on the filly's belly. Which is how she got her name Aponi means butterfly in Native American. Just thought I should do a little picture/story about her 'foal-hood'
I'll probably re-do it in the summer...I don't really like the lineart
