so much other M hate in the comments. I've only seen the cut scenes so I can't say anything for the gameplay. but the story wasn't that bad.

The central problem with the story was how badly it butchered the characters of literally everyone involved. Samus of course fared the worst, but even *Adam*, whose only characterization beforehand came from Fusion and the manga released in the 2000s, comes out of that mess ruined.
Had *anyone's* characterization (aside from "Awesome Friendly Big Guy" who was made *for* the game) been kept intact or even remotely respected, the game likely would be beloved. The premise was certainly fascinating.

I enjoy your musings on Samus. Personally, I think she works alone because she's an order of magnitude or two more capable than the Federation elite troops she'd be teamed with, or even the other top-tier bounty hunters out there (in two separate games, she ends up having to kill her way through some of her highly skilled peers). When Samus walks into a situation, odds are good that she's going to be the sole survivor. If she goes in as part of a team, the rest of the team is a loss. If she goes in alone, that's not a problem.

You really have the best handle on Samus' character I've ever seen - at least, it fits damn well with what I know of her from the games, and I think it's a heck of a lot better than what we got in the Game That Shall Not Be Named.

Wow! Brilliantly done! Though the context of each line of panels were different, Samus' character managed to so-well tie everything together. I think the scenes I enjoyed the most were the ones from the military academy where the Chozo were equated to giant chickens (the expression on her face was JUST right), and then the debriefing where she locked out the rest of her team and she passed them off by saying the whole "I'm going into a tunnel" spiel. Her words at the last panel combined with her holding her hands and the expression on her face went well with the slight scrapes on her face and the fraying of her hair.
Also, the Chozo at the end was a nice touch.
Overall, you did a brilliant job showing off the different facets of Samus' personality, whether she's relaxing after a mission at the bar, taking in the scenery on an alien planet, taking a "disproportionate response" (depending on who you ask, since it looks like she shot the guy/thing more than once), her life at the academy and the cultural differences in their upbringing, down to when she's arguing her case after a mission well-done.
I'm just surprised no-one pointed out her flexibility, given she can curl up into a little ball.

That was pretty neat.Β I was rather disappointed with where they went with other M as well.
She even has a good reason to have a solo attitude later relative to other highly trained individuals.Β After all, there was a corpse for an old comrade of hers in Super Metroid that she has to walk over on her way to Kraid.Β It's not just the innocent or peaceful she gets reason to expect 'could get hurt'.

Great artwork. Β Your stytle is not just cute and beautiful but most of all helps show many emotions of the characters. Β Each panel was well created and enjoyable to see and I like how you show Samus as a person under that armor.

Haha, it's a silly theory, though could headcanon some things away if one desires it. It would have been a pretty interesting twist if the Other M Samus learned that, like much of the creatures in the game, she was also a clone - it would even fit in with the Aliens inspiration to the series, with Alien: Resurrection. Coulda been cool.

Personally I'd lean Hufflepuff (she's too badass and well armed to technically be afraid, so Gryphindor doesn't fit, she's neither portrayed as stupid nor intelligent so Ravenclaw doesn't apply and given that she hasn't usurped the GF in a coup, she probably doesn't have any Slytherin-ish ambition; she does, however, work very hard at her chosen profession).
And while we're on the subject, I like that you drew her with muscle definition.
