Actually...if you look at the ending images of Fusion, her suit is definitely still part Metroid (though underneath, she LOOKS fully human, as far as we can see): th05.deviantart.net/fs13/PRE/f…
She's got Metroid spikes on her arms, the three cores on her back, and the suit as a whole still has an organic look to it.

Not according to Sakamoto. The suit is just that, a suit. Her genetics returned to their normal condition after she absorbed the SA-X.

Question: In Metroid Fusion, it seems to have established that "Samus can't use the Ice Beam because she has inherited the nature of the Metroids", but why at the very end is she unconcerned when she regains the ice beam?
Sakamoto: When she absorbed the core of the SA-X (the perfect condition of Samus), she basically reconstituted her genetic condition. She didn't recover the physical damage of her amputated suit, but she did recover her genetic condition.

Nice. Might have worked better with the fusion suit since she has metroid DNA in her at that point, but it still works pretty well considering she has had a metroid imprint on her before. Probably my favorite of the franchise versions of this meme so far.
