That Super Metroid race at SGDQ 2016 was one heck of a trip! ‘Butt-clenching’ was the word of the day. The whole event was good fun, as expected, and glad to see it getting bigger and still raising over a million dollars for charity!Related content

whats amazing is alot of people didn't know samus was a girl until later games that depicted her actual form under her armor....unless u got the secret ending (and like the first one in gaming history) that showed her true form...UNLESS you read the old Captain N comics that showed her out of her armor....and FYI she had a real crush on Kevin right to the point that she may of been willing to do anything to steal him away from the princess

What is a Metroid race?

It's just like a horse race, except with Metroids instead of horses.
It takes a bit of training to keep them from eating the jockeys, but it usually makes for more exciting viewing.
I expect it was actually people speedrunning Super Metroid, with the winner being the first one to finish.
