By the year 5million, humans have expanded and settled across a wide swath of the Milky Way galaxy. Hundreds of thousands of planets and artificial habitats are called home by many human species. None of the major human families, however, call Earth home any longer. About a thousand years after First Contact in 2223 with Cosmic Civilization, sometime in the early 3280s, the great push to other worlds by advice of the touhouls and mandrakes was going into full swing. Unfortunately, a political group of radial human supremacists became popular movement on Earth. Driven by an insane, twisted urge to survive and persevere as an undefeatable species, the experiments of this movement spawned a ruthless new human species known as the morlocks. The animalistic communal intelligence of the morlocks was motivated to destroy all possible threats to morlock survival and evolution. Needless to say, this was very unfortunate for the creators. It was also very unfortunate for the planet Earth. A plague of the beasts swept across the world, reproducing uncontrollably and killing off all populations of large animals; including the Earth-bound humans. Their rampage set off rouge nanotech, detonated nuclear weapons, and a dozen other catastrophes that ultimately ended with the crashing of a large meteor into the planet. Long story short, it was a hell of a mass extinction.
The morlocks were all destroyed… save for those who escaped into the Void…
Mars became the new capitol of the Sol system, and prospered with the Neo Martian Empire to this day. Many other human civilizations settled on various ‘New Earths’ across the galaxy to go on to produce great empires of their own, guided by the first human and touhoul Ultrasapients, as well as various benevolent Cosmic factions of aliens. Earth itself is now under the protection of a Nature Guardian Ultra, who has been uplifted from the electromagnetic, tectonic, biospheric, and psychic forces of the planet itself. Under her care, some humans have been allowed to return to Earth as Stone Age civilizations, gradually growing back into higher technologies rewarded by the Ultra for ‘good behavior’. Another group of radical environmental humans wish to help the Ultra repopulate the world, and they were allowed to descend back into animal awareness for the Ultra, Maiaterra, to evolve for the world. Many humans from across the galaxy make pilgrimages to the planet Earth as a popular spiritual/touristic destination, especially around the high-tech capitol bases, and the many preserved ruins of ancient cultures of the Human species.

The order, Hominidia, is quickly becoming the dominant large terrestrial life forms. They have had a boost in evolution due to early reconstruction by Earth Mother. One of the most derived forms is the family Raptororalia. These predators are common ambush predators of small to large game in Africa, Southern Europe, and India. They all possess large heavy tail for balance, and legs modified primarily for jumping and leaping. Their pinkies and big toes on their feet sport raptor-like talons used to pierce and hook onto the flesh of prey. The most outstanding feature of all Raptororalians is the hyper-developed tongue. Stored in specialized cheek and throat pouches, the split tongue functions like rasping tentacles, able to scoop up smaller animals whole or strangle a larger animal. Most Raptororalians are nocturnal, and possess large eyes for night vision.
The largest member of the family in India is the highly territorial Anaxthian, Dracotops narratoperplexus. This creature hunts alone, or in mated pairs. Both male and female possess to characteristic ‘lip spurs’, stiff facial feelers also derived from the lips, and the grooved hair crest. They are highly aggressive and will confront native tribes on the fringes of their territories. During threat displays, an Anaxthian will babble rhythmically. They can be easily calmed by the telling of a riddle or the playing of a flute.
