Description
The arcu are a race of hunters from the planet Diamane. They currently rule over 12 planets and have been at war with the mandrakes for over 500 years.They are hexapods with two manipulating fingers on each of their four arms. Their "jaws" are acually finger-like mandibles which form a sheath around the real rasping mouth. Their vision is based on patterns of heat. Photoreceptors are located all around their necks.

My first deviation! Hope evryone likes it. The arcu are just one of the many races of iUniverse.

Why yes! They inhale through nostrils at the front of their backs, and exhale near their cloacal region. Or, that is, it would be their cloacal region, but their reproductive organs are between their foremost pair of appendages.

When I was drawing/creating this alien, I thought "we humans always portray aiens as humanoids, so if velociraptors gained sentience, they would probably think the same". I call my sentient raptors mandrakes in case you didn't know that...

Don't worry; "sophont" is kinda a made-up word...
Sophont: (a) A state of being of higher intelligence. (b) Any being capable of reasoning, problem-solving, and/or questioning intelect of set mindset. (c) A being who exhibits abstract ideas and/or thoughts and communicates them is some form or other. etc; sophont, sophonts, sophonce. Also see "sentient".
