Description
A while ago, I was experimenting with my own take on the classic speculative zoology scenario of the absence of a KT extinction event. The idea has never really left, and has continued to evolve. These are some basic ideas for the animals of Seiek as I continue to refine it. These were done sometime last year, so not all the ideas are 100% "canon" for the project anymore, but I figured I'd see what others think. Clockwise from top left:One: A totally marine champsosaur, fillinf most dolphin-like niches.
Two: A representative of a group of flying primatomorphs. They aren't as skilled flyers as pterosaurs, birds, or bats, and mostly fill coastal fruit-eating or fishing niches, similar in some ways to rhamphorhychid pterosaurs. The picture species is a nocturnal coastal fisher.
Three: A typical modern tyrannosaur. Highly developed hearing, eyesight, and smell. Fill a variety of small to medium-sized predators and omnivores across most of the world.
Four: A member of Gracilecherididae, a group of eutherian mammals representing the largest mammalian carnivores. First evolved from arboreal weasel-like hunters in the Eoscene. Now fill a variety of small carnivore niches around the world. The pictured species is an arboreal predator of Central and South America.
Five: A semi aquatic eulipotyphan. I don't think I'm going to be using this concept any more... At least not with how it is now.

Also, great work on the patterns on these guys! They look super natural but eyecatching!

Love the flying lemur! And the mammal carnivore! Without a KT extinction, we get more and different dinos, but I'm loving the new mammals too!

I must say, I think this is my favorite batch of critters..possibly because it has marine/aquatic creatures in it. Regardless, I am really enjoying these batches, even if you might not use them all.
