Description
A while ago, I was experimenting with my own take on the classic speculative zoology scenario of the absence of a KT extinction event. The idea has never really left, and has continued to evolve. These are some basic ideas for the animals of Seiek as I continue to refine it. These were done sometime last year, so not all the ideas are 100% "canon" for the project anymore, but I figured I'd see what others think. Clockwise from top left:One: A group of bats with elaborate facial skin folds and protrusions for display and supporting hairs that help them trap insects.
Two: A highly armored pangolin-like creature that's actually more closely related to hedgehogs.
Three: A surviving basal, yet specialized pachycephalosaur. The dome ornamentation is inverted between males and females, so they lock together and push against each other to determine each other's suitability for mating.
Four: A large flightless pterosaur. I know I want to include some variant of this idea, but probably not like this one anymore...
Five: A large, polar oviraptorosaur.

Interesting! I like your take on the flightless pterosaur! That bat makes me wonder, though. Given that bats evolved after the K-Pg, do you really think that they would evolve in this alternate timeline? Or am I mistaken, and bats are actually older than this?

That pachycephalosaur really reminds me of an ankylosaur

I really like the idea for the pachycephalosaur's mating ritual and I've always had a weakness for pangolin-like animal designs. Also the oviraptorosaur reminds me of Lovecraft's Gnoph-keh.
