This picture surprised the hell out of me. When I first started drawing for this little fan project I dreaded getting to this part of the story because I'm not very convinced of my ability to draw Mecha, let alone recognizable Transformer characters.So I scoured the net for refrence picks and everything and set out to draw. About half an hour later I was finished drawing. When I was done inking, I impressed myself that I could actually tell who was who! Yay for me! lol.
Yes well this picture coveres chapters 10-16. For those of you counting, you'll have noticed I skipped a few chapters. This is due to the fact that Sunstreaker is not only an ass personality wise, but also to draw. >__<

This is so cool! Personally I think you did a great job drawing the mechs. ^^ And who wouldn't be impressed with such awesome inking detail!

Inking is a lot harder then it looks! Plus if you make a mistake, you can't erase.
White out's an option, but I don't like useing it unless it's absolutly neccisary.

I like those "How to draw Manga" books, but it's so hard to find ones with Decent art...
It's hard to improve your drawings when you draw better then the pics in the book!
There's a new 'how to' book drawn and made by real Manga Artists in Japan. Can't recall the name, but I'm making it a priority to get the first vol. when it's released if it hasn't been already.

Cool, I'll have to be on the look-out for those too then. The book I have shows the inking techniques of a few Manga Artists as well. (Yasuhiro Nightow [Trigun] to name one of them)

You wouldn't really need one with how well your inking right now...
But there are some neat inking books I've seen. The one I have is called "How to Pen & Ink: The Start-Up Guide".

I cannot believe that this is your first time drawing mechs. I am amazed and stunned and... just WOW. I also can't believe I didn't review these! I spent nearly an hour staring at them. 
But... jeebus. And I love Ratchet's face, just something about his expression... I dunno. It fits him. Sort of calmly perplexed instead of violently pissed. X3 I like. <3

I wouldn't call it my first time really, but it's my first time drawing the actual characters. I was so freaked out I'd screw them up and people would be like "Who's the lumpy one?" and I'd go "*sigh* that's Optimus Prime..." -__-
