Holy. Crap. Am I the only one who remembers that bottom panel from back when it was just a pencil sketch found at random while sifting through dA for TFA arts? That was, what, a year ago now? AND IT LOOKS FRAGGING AWESOME!!!!! XDDD Many congratulations to the artist here. I just love the hip-hop flavor those twins are rockin'.

Hehe... You're right... and you're probably the only one who noticed. A while back I designed my own version of Rumble and Frenzy and Blueike drew this crazy scene. [link]
It turned out to be so popular in my gallery, I had to write a story that went along with it. I did something a little different, I mixed in a little lyrics and sent the script to Blueike and he came up with this masterpiece!

The first panel and the title are from Bring Da Noise. Some of the other rhymes are a mix from other songs but I had to modify them for this comic. But for the most part, they are from me.

It's so disappointing that TF:A was canceled so all the fans wouldn't get to see even more cameos. On the other side, it gives us a little room to move in the designs of 'Bots and 'Cons we'd have liked to seen.

This is just perfect. You captured Rumble and Frenzy perfectly. I could really see them fitting into Animated. Interesting choice of using blue and yellow on Frenzy instead of the classic two-tone blue.

Just when I thought Animated was the greatest thing to happen to TFs in years, this reminded me of the 2 awesome Cassettes they forgot to introduce. Shame on you, Derrick Wyatt!

Well no that's not all true Hasbro said in G1 RIBFIR only when the comps that won't fully Hasbro said it was the other but that was along time ago back in the 80's

Nope, Hasbro still maintains that Frenzy is the blue one and Rumble is red. That's also why in nearly every comic incarnation as well, Rumble is always the red one. It's also why the Alternators Rumble was red as well. And this was only a few years ago.
Also, from a purely word association angle, having Rumble as red works out better "red Rumble", "red Rumble" R R It clicks in the memory better.
Simply put, Rumble has always been red and Hasbro maintains that still to this day, as does Takara. Takara even got it right in the Japanese dubs of the original cartoons.

Am not going to start some sort of fight because I know people will and everyone goes by what they know best for me its the cartoon and I have read the comics and don't go by them because no one in them stays the same colour Soundwave was yellow one page purple the next and back in another same for most of the others, also the comics I believe you get are like the Sonic the hedgehog ones uses SEGA's characters but isn't done by SEGA now I could be wrong because I live in the UK and I do remember my brother having Transformers comics over here and it was the other way for the two of them as in RIB FIR that's what I am going off but like I said everyone goes by their own that they are use to.

The old comics in the 70s and 80s, including transformers did often have those kinds of coloring issues, I agree. However, the original toys by Hasbro and Takara, as well as the modern comics done by Dreamwave and now IDW, all maintain Rumble as red and Frenzy as blue. All of the toys of those characters are always red Rumble blue Frenzy. That's also probably why movie Frenzy had blue optics instead of red ones, and why his stereo mode was silver and blue, as homage to the original character's colors. My point is that Officially, according to Hasbro's current policy, Rumble is red, not Frenzy. If you look at any official bios of the characters, be it from Dreamwave, the toy bios on TFU.Info, etc. It's always red Rumble, blue Frenzy.
Personal preferences aside, Hasbro and Takara trump all.

The new movie well newesh holds no water at all seeing how Bay picked what they would be like so that wont work with anything ad Transformers was not out in the 70's it come out early 80's comics and all but as I just said that was over here and the toys over here were also the way I just said that is what I am going by and the new comics are not done by the old artists as well also dreamwave comics came out after G1 as in around 1996.

Yes, Dreamwave was after the original series, however, the toys came out before the cartoon, the toys, as released by Hasbro werer Rumble as red, Frenzy as blue. In fact, even the original cartoon series bible said that Rumble was supposed to be red.—[link]

It was an animation error that made him blue, and it stuck. He was always supposed to be red.
As for the comics from the 70s and 80s, I was referring to comic books in general from that time period. Transformers were a part of that era (specifically the mid 80s). The printing technology of that time was no different. The TF comics were still using the same printing technology that had been used for the previous fifty years. Thus, the coloring errors you refer to, aren't isolated to TF comics, but were common in all comics of that whole era. However, Rumble being red, even in the Marvel comics, was not a coloring error. That was the correct color for his character.
As for the modern comics. Dreamwave published Transformers from 2002 until 2005, when they went bankrupt. IDW's All Hail Megatronstill maintains that policy to this very day, as does Takara. Takara's Encore reissues of the G1 cassetticons has Rumble and Frenzy. Rumble is red in that set. Every Rumble toy is red, the G1 toy, the Alternators model, the Robot Heroes figure, etc. That is why Dreamwave, and IDW both depicted Rumble as red. It's because that is how Hasbro wants it. Of all of the various official depictions of Rumble and Frenzy, only three depicted Rumble in blue: the cartoon, Devil's Due GI Joe vs Transformers comic, and the Diamond Select bust. Every other depiction has Rumble as red: The original toy, the Marvel comics, Ladybird children's books, Kid Stuff children's books, the Japanese cartoon, the Dreamwave comics, the IDW comics, the alternators toys, they Japanese Music Label headphones, and the Robot Heroes figures depict Rumble as red. Thus, Hasbro has made it's intent perfectly clear. Rumble is red, Frenzy is blue. RIRFIB.
The colorist of this piece followed Hasbro's long-standing, and still current, policy on Frenzy's and Rumble's colors.

I like Frenzy's design, it isn't typical, and doesn't make him an exact replica of Rumble, which is nice to see really. Nice intro for them.
