More that they could not understand humans. However, the Autobots' main issue here is to quell the humans' irrational fears that will be unleashed by the appearance of the Decepticon Pretenders.
I have a certain idea about that... just need the artists

I agree, but we had already given Pretender Octopunch a different origin, in "The Call". You'll notice that the stories are connected, though: they both use psitronic proto-matter for the shells.

This mosaic is part of a series of mosaics. The Quintessons first captured Breakdown and put some device on him. Later the remaining Stnticons in form of Menasor arrived and rescued Breakdown, but thanks to the device the Quints were able to capture Menasor, when he combined with Breakdown.

That would have made for an awesome two parter storyarc in season 4 to introduce the Pretenders. Shame we never got beyond the Headmaster intro...
