Nice idea. I thought it was good for a laugh, and if it were "real", it'd still be worth a laugh.
You didn't need to rename Waspinator, though: remember we had Bumblebee back in G1. If anything, we'd need Space Hulu to explain the "-ator" suffix more than anything.

Mad props to you guys, the story adds in that vital link between G1 and Beast Wars, and what happened to the characters. Especially Dirge, who gets blown up many a time - I never actually made that link between the two before

The background of the first panel is great. For some reason it just seems right and proper.
The only real critique I could level at this piece is that the lines in some places seem a bit wavy. That nitpick aside, very well done.

I think he was calling him Weaponator beacause Waspinator hadn't been to earth (as Waspinator) and didn't know what a wasp was. So at this point he isn't Waspinator.

Nice. I like the crazy story here and the art suits it perfectly. Ramjet and Thrust's facial expressions throughout are fun to watch. The Doctor-bot looks nice and creepy too.
Side note, Thunderwing could have possibly been used as the medic/scientist. Although his tech-spec shows a different function he has typically been portrayed in comics as scientist with a wildly experimental side.

we've seen this idea hashed out before in Mosaics, except this one has a different ending. in the grand scheme of things it doesnt really make sense that dirge is waspinator. although i like the medic bot i find that readers like seeing characters they recognize instead of fan-created ones. i like the art, very expressive, it's not a bad piece, just needs some tweaking sorry.

I understand and respect your opinion, but I just wish to clarify the Dirge/Waspinator. Y'see Dirge died/got shot down a lot, like Waspinator, in G1. Basically it's implied that Dirge's luck got carried on in his reincarnation

it just that the personalities are so different. i did not even like when jetstorm was silverbolt. sorry, as a reader i find it hard to be convinced. there is no lead up or any disntinct personality traits that transfer one to the other. sorry if i am not being clear
