Kind of ironic, since Iwo Jima was a drawn-out war against Japanese troops, and the Transformers are partly Japanese creations, etc etc and I've always viewed this particular photo as propaganda, so I'm with the others on the warning signals. In short, it has uneasy connotations for me, when associated with fantasy characters.

But if there's Aerialbots involved, I'm looking forward to the story.

Interesting.... very interesting. o.o; Curious... half wary as to what this could be about... Judging from the shapes of the shadows, it looks like the Aerialbots are the ones lifting the flag... I can see a hand and a head (I think) in the rubble, but I can't tell who that would be.

Was that picture of the American soldiers raising the flag at Iwo Jima the reference for this one? Because if it was, then my brain has started flashing warning signals, because Iwo Jima had so many casualties, and that author's comment... Somehow, I almost don't want to know.

Nonetheless, this is gorgeous art all around, and very appropriate.
