Because said random yellow Lambo was intentionally blown up and left behind in Sunstreaker's last known location by his abductors during the brief period when Ironhide lost sight of him.

It was an intentional decoy set up by the Machination. They ambushed Sunstreaker and Ironhide on the road, stirred up a bunch of chaos, and then blew up a car identical to Sunstreaker right before Ironhide's eyes, so they could make off with the REAL Sunstreaker.
