"Pokemon? POKEMON?! WITH THE POKE AND THE MON AND THE GUY COMES OUT!"

I've wanted to do a big Pokemon drawing for quite a while, but I had some trouble getting it going; causing it to be shelved and restarted a few times. Mostly, I just kept wanting to add stuff to it. At first, it was just the kids from the show- Ash, Misty, and Brock with Pikachu. But then I wanted to add Team Rocket in there. Then I wanted to add the other Gym Leaders, which meant that I had to move Brock and Misty around. Then, to take their spot by Ash, I thought I'd throw in the starter Pokemon. Oh, and then their evolutions; they're cool! And you gotta have Gary, and I suppose I should throw in at least Professor Oak, and so-on and so-on. It just kept getting bigger and crazier to a point where Ash was more-or-less a tiny dot lost in a sea of chaos.

Finally, I decided to just return to the basics. I decided to forget about the cartoon entirely and focus just on the game. Just Red and the three starters. Hell, you know you're going bare-bones when freakin' Pikachu doesn't make it in! And just to make it a little more interesting, I decided to jump on the "realistic" Pokemon bandwagon 'cause that's a lot of fun.

Oh, and for the record, I always went with Bulbasaur. He was my favorite probably of the whole original 151.
