Description I have to confess: I'm a sucker for cutesy romance stuff. A lot of writers get it way wrong, but when it's done right, a good love story can really enrich any book or movie. (Think the Star Wars prequels vs. original trilogy.) And recently, while trying to get caught up on "Invincible", I've really gotten hooked on this particular pair. They're just adorable!

I had a blast working on this one! There are a few parts that didn't come out quite as well as I'd hoped and a few parts were kinda tricky, but I'm just so happy with the overall end result that I can look past all that.

On a slightly sad note, my old Wacom Bamboo tablet died on me (or, more specifically, the pen did) about half way through coloring this. It had been a trusted tool for about four years wherein I learned much and advanced further then I would have originally thought possible, and for that I am thankful. Now, lets see where it's brand new successor takes me...

Sorry to report, but in recent Invincible comics, it looks like they've broken up.

Very well done, I must say! It would work excellently for the cover to a comic book or animated movie, if my honest opinion is to be known.

On another note, I agree that romance can really add something to a narrative, though I liked the way the original star wars trilogy handled the romance more than the newer trilogy: It just seemed more subtle, wheras the prequels seemed to be trying to whack us in the head with it. Many times during the viewings I was tempted to cry out in indignation, on the off chance that Lucas was walking past my door or doing my laundry, "YES, GEORGE, THEY HAD SEX, I GET IT!".

Sorry for the tirade. ^.^

Exactly! The relationship between Han and Leia was much better done. They actually had chemistry whereas Anakin and Padme were like oil and water. And it adds to the over all story, too, because it makes you care about what these characters are going through. The bit where Leia says "I love you" and Han just says "I know" before being frozen, for instance, is just heart wrenching, compared to, say, when Anakin Force choked Padme and it was just, like, 'Welp, that's a thing that happened'. lol

And, thanks! Glad you liked the picture.

Yeah. Compare, for example, your example exchange ("I love you" "I know") with Anakin's precious gem of epic dialogue writing "R U AN ANGEL LOLOLOLOLOLOL". After Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Lucas just got bad at writing. It's starting to make me think that George's ex-wife did most of the dialogue before they split.
