And now, for something completely different! These are characters from the book Magic Under Stone by Jaclyn Dolamore, which I read recently and loved. (It's the sequel to Magic Under Glass, so if you're going to read it, you'll probably want to check out that one first.)Note: You have to click the image twice to get the full size.

I like the third drawing, I think, the best. It's such a tender moment. I like the over-all feel, too; how the characters are shown interacting with the character adjacent to them, creating a really good transition between them.
I've never heard of the books until now, and you've sparked my curiosity. Time for some new reading!

They are great! They're steampunkish fantasy, and the characters really speak to me, which I suppose is why I felt so much like drawing them. Pretty writing, too.
