Description
Macrogryphosaurus gondwanicusNamed by Jorge Calvo, 2007
Diet: Herbivore
Type: Ornithopod basal iguanodontia (Elasmaria) dinosaur
Size: 16 to 20 feet (5 to 6 meters) long and 650 lb. (Note: This dinosaur may have been even larger as the only specimen of it was not yet fully-grown)
Region: South America (Argentina)
Age: Late Cretaceous (93 to 89 million BC; Turonian to Coniacian)
Enemies: Megaraptor (a neovenatorid carnosaur theropod); Unenlagia (a dromaeosaurid)
Episode: Chased by Dinosaurs: Land of the Giants (as an unnamed iguanodont)
Info: Known from a partial articulated postcranial skeleton found in the Portezuelo Formation in Patagonia, Argentina, Macrogryphosaurus was a bipedal, herbivorous dinosaur that roamed the area around 90 million years ago, during the Late Cretaceous period (Turonian stage). Phylogenetic analysis indicates that alongwith the related Talenkauen (also from Cretaceous Argentina), it is a basal member of the iguanodontia.
Note: Based on www.dinochecker.com/img/macrog… and www.1000pa.com/forum/photos/im…
There is actually an unnamed iguanodont specimen found in the Candeleros Formation (the same formation that contained Giganotosaurus as well as the dromaeosaur Buitreraptor, the sauropods Andesaurus and Limaysaurus, and the abelisaur Ekrixinatosaurus) that date back in the Early Cenomanian age, but because it was unnamed and known from few remains, I replace it with Macrogryhosaurus.

Wait, is this thing closer to Dryosaurus or Iguanodon in terms of appearance? I'm confused right now.

How about you start off with Mongolia, then at South America, then at the sea, then the North Pole/Canada and finally United states.

Why don't I start with South America with Coloborhynchus and then Abelisaurus and Carnotaurus! Then I'll do the rest!
