Description
Of course, the majority of Goths are unique in their style and music preferences. However, within the subculture there are certain "types" of Goth with particular characteristics. And it can be fun to classify them. Naturally, classifications for each "type" vary from person to person, so you may disagree with what I say here!I don't understand why pinstripe looks so good....but it does...
As with all my work, please DON'T steal this! If you want to use it for whatever purposes, email me and ask me first.

Hmm, Corp goths make me sad. Bringing in some suity elements into your goth club wear is kind of cool in away but most corp goths I know just have dyed black hair and mostly black clothing. It was really sad being at a Bauhaus concert looking at all the older people who barely even had that much.
I know why this happens. There's a twat in our LGBT that says she'd expect a "HIGH CLASS CLIENTELE" if she was an employer, and all this shit. When people who are meant to be progressive denounce things that are, people think they're immature.
So they're the people to beat the crap out of.

If that is the case, then nobody should dress "goth"at all - after all, aren't goths merely conformists to a minority group?
Conformity or not, I am happy to dress goth, and I am also happy to wear corporate attire.

No, because they can make a conscious choice to dress goth, and it's a diverse style as well as a small percentage of the population. I don't see how it follows, at all.
It's also debatable how "Happy" you are, giving the immense amount of social programming put into making people be happy to do that kind of thing.

But why, though? It's a style born out of restricting people's freedoms. While you could argue even punk was, with Corp Goth, the restrictions are still there. Personally I think it's ethically disgusting that most companies have such strict dress codes. Anything that isn't too revealing or distracting should be allowed. Basically, anything you see walking around normally. It's discriminative and it makes me sad that people defend it as a "high class clientele".

The way I see it, we play many parts in life, and each one requires its own costume.

It's a sad, sad day when people try to get poetic in defense of social conformity.
The only costume one should "have" to wear is one's own skin. I know what it's like, being a transsexual, being forced to wear a costume that does not fit. But doing something that sucks, and hurts - that makes us more mature, right? Right?
Maturity is a device for thought control.
There is nothing deep or insightful about having to dress up as someone else. People are forced to betray themselves - it's unnecessary. It's only there because people don't think and keep defending it. There might be bigger problems in the world, but it's bigger than you think(especially since image based discrimination *always* applies to me until I can pass 100%), and one that could be easily solved, if only these false notions of "growing up" could be shattered in the minds of the rather lack luster modern alternative crowd.

These are awesome!!
It's now my desktop at work. XD I've dressed business casual forever (even before working), though I've been a Goth at heart (loved the music for a while). Last year began moving into more of the Goth Fashion, crossing it with my established look.
Corp during the day, Romantic at night!

I must say that I really love what you've done so far and I'm going through the rest of your gallery as we speak. I've always liked 'different' but with being shipped out to the military right after graduation and now working full time at a retail store after doing my 4 years of service... being any type of 'Goth' is a hard thing to do.
But then again, its not really about the look is it?

My mother is a graphic designer. And does most of her work on...computers.
My father is a web designer, and well...you get the point.

Lollercoaster! I can imagine I'll dress like this ten-twenty years from now. And computers indeed, I'd like to design movie scenes and 3D monsters and that sort of nonsense. <3
I've been looking through your Goth Types and methinks they're splendiferous! All the different types explained for people to understand, it's wonderful. 8D
