Description
Of course, the majority of Goths are unique in their style and music preferences. However, within the subculture there are certain "types" of Goth with particular characteristics. And it can be fun to classify them. Naturally, classifications for each "type" vary from person to person, so you may disagree with what I say here!No doubt, some people WILL disagree with me here, with including the Metalheads into this collection at all. Nevertheless, I think that these days there is a link between Goth and Metal. And most of the people who watch this collection or have faved my work seem to like metal, so it wouldn't be right to leave them out!

All I have to say is that when you categorize people you are in turn no better then those who label you. I have long hair and love heavy metal music. But I also love classical, techno, folk, southern rock, classic rock, and blues. I have been classed as a metal head by a lot of people so I have accepted it. I play bass guitar, the cello, and the violin.

There is much truth in what you have wrote here... I, Being a MetalHead myself am frequently called Goth or Emo in which I feel the need to correct them... constantly

Man its so true.
I always said you could chain stuff up musically. Rob zombie and NIN share a similar sound to the less gothy ( I know its not a word bear with me) Static X which has clear influences from nu metal (hate the term but there's no other word) bands like Korn whose lead singer Jon Davis cites The Cure as one of his favorite bands and major inspiration and they can be argued to be one of the larger contributors to the Goth rock music genre...
You see where I'm going, point being its all counter culture, lets revel in it
Love the pic, its the one I'm closest to in your collection.

The comment about one's own definition of "goth" is one of the best arguments I have heard yet about the entire culture. Metal and Goth share the same basic DNA, in a sense, and like two siblings each one wants to be known as something other than Goth/ Metal v.2, or the "other kind of" Goth/ Metal.

Too little people know that Goth and Metal are totally different... That is why the term 'gothic metal' is such a bad one.

Hello!
I'd just like to point out the mistake of using both 'but' and 'on the other hand' in your second paragraph. Sounds correct colloquially, but isn't so gramatically!
Love your gothic edition much, keep up the good work

Thanks for the compliment!

These are all so cute! I need to show them to my friends who think all goths are the same, and that goth and emo are the same as well. (which goth styles are way way cuter) As I read what you said in a previous comment, I don't fit under anyone of the categories but several. I enjoy cosplaying, sci fi, and creative artistic things, which makes me a geek but my dress style varies. I love wearing cat ears or my pink wig when given the opportunity and my wardrobe ranges from lacy corsits and skirts, to vynal pants, bright pink bubble skirts and even a navy blue sailor shirt (which I believe was at one point a dress when i was little 0_0.) My music preferences are Cradle of Filth, Rob Zombie, Nightwish, NIN, Johnny Cash, Aqua, t.A.T.u, Siouxie and the Banshees, and Alizee.

No promlem. I'm trying to get my boy friend to wear cute stuff like the lip service duster I found online, but he refuses. Maby when he sees the variety of cute gothy things that you've drawn... He mostly wears a hoodie and jeans(gamer=doesn't get out much ), at least I'm getting him to tolerate and even like what I wear now, hopefully soon i can get him to like it enough to dress cuter

I started out as a metalhead and slowly became more Goth, which I think is the natural progression for most people.
