Description
Of course, the majority of Goths are unique in their style and music preferences. However, within the subculture there are certain "types" of Goth with particular characteristics. And it can be fun to classify them. Naturally, classifications for each "type" vary from person to person, so you may disagree with what I say here!Perky Goths are undoubtedly the most fun Goths to be around. I'd say that luckily, most of the Goths I've met could be classified as Perky - it's more about attitude than clothes or music tastes, after all.

Haha. I love these things.
But one comment about the Perky Goth; Though this form is very real, another subspecies goes by the same name, but only acts peppy and happy to confuse the norm. In reality, they're very cynical--Which I find hilarious from time to time.
But other than that, this is wonderful. C:

On most occassions, "poser" is simply a name somebody gives to someone else that they somehow feel threatened by, in my opinion.

Wow. I appreciate this. I had no idea I fit into this genre. I always styled myself as Indy, until you pointed out that Strawberry Switchblade (A strange obsession of mine) fits, as well a lot of other tendancies I have that fit 100% ^_^; Yay!

I am so guilty of the Perky Goth + Romantic Goth sterotype! Teehee. I don't wear any pink though in my daywear... Black and purple punches, here and there.

I think that all of these Goth type descriptions are awsome. The fact that you did your homework and turn history and facts into art is very clever and truly artistic. Are perky goths also labeled as "Candy Goths"? I heard that a description for "Candy Goths" is Hottopic exploded on them. ^_^

Strawberry Switchblade was before Switchblade Symphony. They were an 80s gothy-pop duo. Look for their videos on You Tube.

Hmm... that wasn't my intention. Bear in mind that Emo is based a lot on the whole "cute goth" look (pink, skulls etc) so there will be overlaps.
