I've seen some great comics this year but this is by far the best comic page I've seen all year.
The concept of Nightrunner is fresh and original, but I believe it is your art that really takes things to a whole new level. How he seems to vent his emotions though his dynamic movements really says so much about Bilal's characterization in the space of one page. I wish I could find escape like that, just turn up the music and run free of constraint.
I am looking forward to more stories about Nightrunner and his world. I hope, if such stories come to pass, you will be the one to draw him. It's incredible work!

Thanks so much I really, truly appreciate your comments about my work. Nothing feels more satisfying then when you know you've made a connection between your work and the audience reading it. I have to say drawing those Nightrunner pages was really so much fun and like you I would absolutely love to see myself attached to any other projects DC does with him down the line.
Done correctly, I think Nightrunner has the potential more than any other character in recent memory to really cross over in to the mainstream and wake more people up to comics as a medium for relevant social commentary. But of course that all remains to be seen.

Yeah totally! My boy Andre, an old classmate of mine did the colors and I worked real close with him on the palette. But I think he really killed it!!
