Part 1: The ScenarioSo basically, the story behind this is that, when I teach at the local high school, on the last day, the class gives me a potted plant. This happened last year, and I'm only talking about it now b/c in part 2 all will become clear...
(this comic takes place from January 2010 in the first panel until the end of August 2010 in the second panel. Keep in mind, the summer here was 100 degrees F for a week, and there was no saving the plant in that. I also only have the balcony to use since there isn't anywhere inside for the plant ^_^)

I hate that when it happens. That sometimes happen in FL too. I got a huge pot of mums for my mom and that's also happened to it due to FL hot weather.
