I was wondering when that would be brought up. Chara sorta left that just hanging.
He had a reason to start with that line of thoughts - so why not finish it? He truly feels that Sans and Frisk's love is like an eel so we may as well know the method, so it can help us all see the bigger picture here
But ow, son of a gun, Sans that smarts and I wasn't even the one hit.

At that moment Chara indeed wanted to tell the whole theory but he changed his mind later. And like you said, Frisk got the point that if she can know the answer, she will understand the method of Chara's "help", and therefore, to get Chara's true motivation.
So happy you got it all
By the way, Sans was just being defensive to Chara's hard attack, that's why he swung so hard. And when Chara suddenly stopped... that's just why it happened. xD

That eel comment always stuck with me. because it was such a strange analogy to use for someone in love. So I've had that tucked away in my mind for a while now.
I had thought it would be answered when first brought up, but it was dropped so quickly that I had a hunch something was going up. Chara is good with words that help people see his perspective. Just his, however. He's also good at making things seem like he's trying to help... when he's alone. But when someone like Frisk or Sans starts looking at it from different perspectives they can see through his words.
Sans might have been defensive but that still had to hurt just a bit. He clearly wasn't expecting Chara to stop and neither was he. Though - in Sans defence - Chara totally had it coming XD

And thanks a lot. I have to do my study first. (Except to draw other easier comics sometimes) This comic has become so massive that I have never intended to make before (come on, it was just a doodle quality comic at first xD

I think what I like most about the feud between Sans and Chara is that Sans is normally one step ahead of pretty much everyone, but Chara seems to be the only one who can keep up with Sans (and even surpass him at times). That's what makes it so interesting to me. Two very intelligent individuals in a constant battle of wits trying to outdo each other

In my headcanon, Sans is a bit smarter than Chara in general. But since he is limited in this world, it gives Chara a room to play around and even surpass sometimes.

Thanks for the compliment. Frisk\Chara's body got the protection as well (even though they will still receive some force impact without actual damages). There was a mistake that I didn't portray the magic covering their whole body.
