Big tree guarding the small one.

One of the last shots I did before packing up and going home, as the aurora is starting to fade away the camera is picking up more of the light pollution from below the mountain making some of the aurora catch this orange glow.

Captured ontop of Sørkjosen mountain which lies in Nordreisa, Troms, Northern Norway.

Nikon D800, zeiss 15mm, F2.8, iso 1600, 10 seconds.

Norway does offer quite the different type of landscape, throw in the midnight sun and the aurora and I can certainly see what you mean.
