As amazing as this is...it's pretty gosh darn amazing....
The bit about your brother takes it for me.
Also I really like how he is in there for scale. 
It shows how massive the flares are.
Very cool.

Seeing this on real life is on my bucket list...I live in the southern USA...I see dust storms and tumble weeds. Lol.

Absolutely stunning piece! This is so amazingly beautiful. I wish the auroras would show up this far south. It's amazing the way the solar radiation reacts with our atmosphere, you are truly fortunate to live in such a place where you can experience this beauty. Yeah you either have to go far north or south to be able to see the aurora, though it can spread a lot if the initial solar flare is stronge enough.

Thats just it, there is beauty all over.
Take for instance the milky way, we can see it here in Northern Norway, but it just does not compare to how they see it on the southern hemisphere, like new zealand and australia.
I would love to take pictures of the Rocky mountains, the few images I have seen left me in awe.
