My first proper watercolour painting! Other than the crap monotone one I did years ago when I was 16 (and failed miserably mind you), this is the first time I've decided to paint myself a landscape.

I'm practicing for my own fun. I want to learn to draw/paint landscapes, so I'm starting with watercolours. I can't wait to get better~ I'm going to practice as often as i can.

This is of a photo I took, I think 2 years ago, when I was in New Zealand. It's Raglan beach. ^^ First time I'd been to a beach with black sand. It was also mid winter that day... And yes we went swimming. I was so cold I turned purple, but I had so much fun I didn't care.

I really want to go to the dam near by and paint there. It'll be great, since it's got water, really orange-red gravel and native bush land all around it. Maybe some weekend soon. ^^
