Description
This is not THAT old... one of my early Maya works... haha...i posed and outfitted the girl in poser and then exported it in Wavefront Format...
And when i imported it into Maya it was GREY!
No shaders, no textures nothing!
I had to disassemble the poor girl into all her elements, build new shading networks from scratch, and then reassemble her.
Hell, that was REALLY a lot of work!
And then, same as always: Lit it, put up a cam and rendered it out... I did more shots of this, from different angles, but i dont think iยดll put em up.
This can be done a LOT better, haha!

Yeah... but they shouldnt be as dense and a lil softer... like i said: i was more trying to figure out a poser / maya workflow... as it seems DAZ! Studio does a better job at exporting...
Actually, this was an image series, but i dont think iยดll load up more, haha...
Oh, and i was still fairly new to maya when i did this... i would do a TON of things better nowadays...
And thats why this is in scraps ^_^

Oh, its an application, where you can load up predefinded Characters (from the web) or create your own, fit them with clothing and props and then pose them and, i think, animate them... i loved the idea of the program, to set it all up there, cuz you can "fit" the clothing to the char and a like, but i wanted to do my shading / rendering work in maya, so i was looking for ways to export that stuff... exported it as an wavefront OBJ file, and when i imported it... _GAH! Each and every ppart of the char was ONE piece of geometry and there were NO shaders to them! So i alway have to completely take em apart manually, re assemble them in a way that makes sense and rebuild all shading networks right from scratch... a PAIN in the ASS !
DAZ! Studio (a far less powerful application, similar to Poser) can handle a lot of the stuff you can get / do in Poser, is smaller and easier to use, and it does a better job at exporting... still a TOTAL MESS, and a SHITLOAD of worl, but not as awful a posers, haha... Plus: DAZ is free...
