Description It's a little grove of trees.

The other night I dragged poor long-suffering Trent out with me to take photos.

This was a grove of trees. Not technically positive that It was me, and not Trent who took this, but oh well.

I love the way it came out. I must have moved, and gave it an unexpected motion blur, but it looks so cool. It looks even better in person! Gonna print this one in the darkroom too, but I'm betting it wont look as good in colour. We shall see!

Oh Lord, I thought you'd photoshopped it to get that effect! What an incrediable accidental picture, it's almost the essence of autumn.

You're right it was a stroke of " accidental genius"- guess I should submit it there.. but I dont know how.. If you tell me, I will...

Neatliness. I like the circular, carousel-type appearance it has.

wow...lovely warm colors...and the shot being in a grove filled with so much vibrant colors on the trees...i can't help but imagine that this is what you get when someone takes you by the hands and you guys just spin round and round and round and round...(this could take a while )

The color is so great. It blinded me, I actually had to squint!
I love the motion blur effect.
Also, note that the tops of the trees create a curve that makes the photo almost look like it was taken with a fisheye. Then you look at the alligned horizon line at the bottom and realize it wasn't. Very cool, I must say.
Great choice of frame.

i think the effect is cool, but there is a cool trick you might want to try later: if you buy a(nother) skylight filter, you can smear a thin layer of vaseline over the filter and use that when taking these kinds of photos. It scatters the light beautifully and adds a lot of character to the shot...

Thanks for the tip! I'll try that- a skylight filter, eh? What else does it do?

I'm not sure what it does apart from cut out a bit of UV maybe (unlike the human eye the film can react to UV as well as the visible spectrum). Generally, it's just something i use to stop myself scratching the lens (bit clumsy sometimes), after all paying seven pounds every few years is more cost effective than buying new lenses or having them reconditioned...
