Bio

Tiardat was born in the same labs as Tike was but he isn't genetically modified or anything. Tiardat had the priviledge of growing up with his parents and few other Syz so he knows quite a lot about his kind. However Tiardat was used for all sorts of intelligence tests right from early childhood. These tests weren't harmful or anything and they provided the boy to learn a lot, both about "alien" species and humans, as well as Earth itself. One major project they used him for was to study the mark magic, using Tiardat to test how quickly a Syz is able to learn it. All the marks were drawn on him, not tattooed so every time the practice session was over they washed them off to prevent accidents. Lil' rascal Tiardat happens to have quite good visual memory so he memorized some and sometimes practiced in secret. Boy grew quite fond of fire-related magic and was careful enough not to get busted. Thanks to the mark magic he also showed interest towards black magic, being eager to learn that as well. Of course he was provided the learning material and as a teenager he often gave shows to the lab personnel.
However when Tiardat was around 14 years old some activists decided to run a campaign against that lab. As a result Tiardat and many other creatures were rescued but since the plan wasn't fully complete some less harmful critters were simply released into the possibly isolated wild in hopes that they won't bother humans. Tiardat sticked with his family and together they started to travel around in hopes to find more Syz to stick with and build a community. In the first days he also let the first 3 marks tattooed on his right arm (since it was his dominant hand and it was easier for him to channel energy through the marks) to keep practicing the mark magic. That of course made his and his family's life little easier since Tiardat was capable of lighting bonfires and give warm in general, as well as creating a shield to keep them dry from the rain or safe from wind when they happened to camp in the wilds.
After few years, when Tiardat was about to turn 17 they found some other Syz living in isolation, far from humans. It took only couple weeks for Tiardat to realize that this place wasn't for him so he left his family and traveled on. It was also then when he managed to dig out a book about the mark magic where he took the next 3 marks and tattooed them on left arm. It took him around 2 months of practice before he managed to transform himself into a human for around a minute. However that encouraged him to keep practicing. Soon he realized that he could give short black magic shows to earn money. Of course he "cheated" a bit and used the mark magic to add extra spice to his shows so he managed to earn enough to survive and keep travelling around. For the extra money he half-bought, half-stole the blue energy crystal he usually has attached to his left ear. This serves as an energy reserve for magic that requres more energy than the Syz's body can provide.
Right now he still travels around a lot and gives short black magic shows. I plan to make him and Tike meet soon so even more circus coming up soon enough.

Personality

Usually presents himself as quite charming and intelligent gentleman but there is a tint of fox-like finesse added to his behavior. He means no harm and usually has good intentions but in dire needs won't shy away from minor stealing or tricking people. Always calm and confident, it is really hard to shake him or piss him off. Of course he won't hold back witty insults or comments when you don't show respect towards him or make fun of his appearance, he doesn't tend to simply accept insults but he still won't lose his cool that easily. He might be little stubborn and independent but he remains quite reasonable in case he needs help or can't handle specific tasks alone. Likes to amaze children with both black and mark magic but isn't very good at taking good care of them in a longer period of time. Still rather fond of fire magic so he's mastered the fire mark on his arm while others need little more work, especially the human mark. He likes to flirt with ladies for his own entertainment but can not allow himself any night-time activities thanks to not being a human. His clothing style might give off last century vibes together with his common behavior and attitude, plus he's a slight diva, meaning his appearance matters quite a lot to him. Like hell those eyebrows are naturally that pretty, he plucks them c:
He isn't shy to show his original looks in public but makes sure not to draw too much attention when moving in crowded areas. He usually makes his feet turn to human ones with the help of the mark, hiding hands into gloves and ears under a hat. The full human transformation is saved for the black magic shows. Tiardat wears comfortable informal clothes only when he's on his own.

Abilities

* Can split his tail in two and merge one with legs just like any other Syz
* Can use the retractable claws on hind limbs to help himself out in some tricky situations
* Good at running and rather agile
* Fast reflexes and quick thinking (unless he's really tired)
* Rather creative and clever, is quite provident
* Good social interaction skills
* Marks on his forearms allow him to preform magic in their limits:
- Water - allows to control water, for example take it out of his clothes, suck it out of plants, summon to him from nearby river or guide it to wash himself. He can not create water or summon it out of humans or animals.
- Fire - allows to control fire or create it around himself, including small fireworks. That requires quite a lot of energy so he must use the crystal's help. He can not use it against humans or animals.
- Shield - allows him to create an invisible shield around himself or someone else. He can't make it last forever yet so those shields tend to have limited time.
- (to) Break - mark allows to crush doors, stones, buildings and other objects. And again, can't be used on humans or animals.
- Weight - allows to make himself or something else either heavier or lighter. Effect of this mark lasts for limited time. This mark comes in handy if he needs to cross places that can't bare his original weight.
- Human - allows to disguise himself as a human being for limited time. The maximum amount of time right now is around half an hour and if he wanted to use it on someone else he'd need to practice a lot. This mark can be used to manipulate with humans but he hasn't discovered that yet.

Disadvantages

* Regularly needs food, hydration and sleep
* Can't stand too high or too low temperatures for physical reasons
* Mark magic requires energy, therefore needs to rest after preforming
* Can do only max. 3 spells straight, otherwise his body might receive serious damages
* Spells have limited time of lasting, Tiardat isn't skilled enough to make them last too long
* Isn't very good at cooking. Of course he can make something edible but let's say it won't taste the best
* At times can be little picky about food
* Cares quite a lot about his appearance
* Isn't very good at fighting so he tends to avoid fights and run away from dangerous situations (unless he can use the magic to help him out)
