You made two mistakes in the sucrose structure, specifically with the fructose:
C6 should be on the bond pointing 'down' from C5.
The hydroxyl group on C5 is used to form the ring, you have an extra one there, (making a total of 12 oxygen atoms).

I get the extra O problem, but this "pointing down" doesn't make much sense to me. Care to elaborate? Shouldn't it be irrelevant what the direction the lines are as long as they lead to the correct parts?

While it typically doesn't matter how you arrange bonds around an atom, it does become relevant once you either have an atom with four different things bonded to it or a ring structure.Β In the former case, there will be structures that cannot be rotated to match each other, (this is the chirality issue MrSpanyard describes).Β In the latter the bonds cannot freely rotate and thus the various outgoing bonds will have a fixed arrangement.
The cyclic forms of carbohydrates are not only rings, but also have multiple chiral carbons.

What he means is that the carbon atom more to the right has the CH2OH group and the hydrogen atom (you put there an hydroxyl group instead) should be switched, the hydrogen upper and the CH2OH behind him, in the bottom.
The direction of the lines it's irrelevant, because radicals can rotate. But carbon is special, that's why we are here overthinking a minor detail in the first place.
Carbon can use 4 electrons to bond other atoms. If a carbon atom has 4 diferent bondings (in this case, oxygen, hydrogen, methyl group and the rest of the sucrose molecule) it's called chiral, and each atom bonding to him has a definite position, and such position gives his own properties. Changing the order changes his properties.
Imagine a tetrahedron with each side of a different colour: mathworld.wolfram.com/images/e⦠. If you switch the colors of two sides, no matter how much you rotate him, it will never be the same tetrahedron.
In your comic, your sucrose has a d-fructose molecule. It can be directed to energy faster than normal (L) fructose because it would need less enzymes. It doesn't bond that way with glucose, but if it does, it could increase your strength ( very slightly).

Born in an all-unicorn household, with most of her close family members unicorns, forced into studying alchemy by said family despite it being a hard field for a pony race that can only carry objects either via their mouth or front hooves...

I don't have a steady schedule, it depends on how busy I am with my job.
In best case scenario, I can get an update done in a few days, in worst it takes a few weeks. But they'll keep coming nevertheless.

Eh, I't complain, was just more or less a curious thing. Still, great job, and the only cautious critic I could give is, be wry of the pacing. I'm sure you have a plan of when Bon-Bon and Lyra, get together, and so far you seem a long way from driving people nuts, but just be weary about how long you drag it out since, we know if one of them confessed their feelings the other without a doubt, say yes. It was a problem with Green, and so far you don't seem to have the problem.

For that, I originally planned to get them together around chapter 19 (since I wanted to have at least one chapter per show episode, to show how the story goes looking at it from the background).
But considering that I only managed to finish 5 chapters (next page will conclude this chapter) in the last 2 years, I moved things around (skipping a few episodes, and moving the interesting bits to the extra pages section) and I'll most likely do it within the next 3-4 chapters/story arcs.
