Tsaalyo — It's called MODERATION

Description One thing that really irks me is our modern day interpretations of diet and health. Take the Double Down there. It's absolutely DELICIOUS, I mean, wow, amazing. And you know what? 550 calories, 10 grams of saturated fat? Everyone is screaming that it's soooo terrible and yet it's like the healthiest thing on KFC's menu, if not any major fast food chain. Yes, it does have almost a full day's sodium, but it's called PLANNING. Say "I'm going to have one for dinner", so you have a breakfast and lunch of as little sodium as possible, keep your calories and fat within the range of whatever plan you follow, balance calories in with calories out, and presto, you've just had a double down as part of a completely healthy diet.

But our media shuns that, doesn't it? How often do you hear THAT message anymore? It's either deprive deprive deprive of anything even remotely tasty, or eat yourself into oblivion and drop dead at age 30. Heaven forbid there's a vocally advocated middle ground. It's either a full McDonald's dinner four times a day, or nothing but unseasoned salad and distilled water.

So, if you're one of the people who has seen the light and realized you can eat whatever you want and be perfectly healthy if you stay under 2000 calories and whatever limits of sodium, saturated fats, etc, that the general plan you follow dictates, please, use this stamp everywhere. Then have something fried, don't feel guilty about it, and chase it with some vitamin supplements and a bit of exercise.

I don't eat fast food, but every once in a while treats are perfectly fine!
To much anything (Besides veggies ^.^) Are bad.
I agree with the stamp and the artist's note that follows. c:

Self-control also plays a hand in it as well as moderation.
Lovely stamp here.

I personally choose not to eat that crap. I treat myself, but not with fast food. I actually Can't eat it. It grosses me out and makes me sick to my stomach. Give me healthy food any day, all the time over this crap. I agree with moderation, but not with fast food. But that's just me.

everyone has different tastes and I totally respect your opinion. I like fast food as a treat, as well as healthy food. I may love taco bell, but if I were given a choice between taco bell and my grandmothers homemade mexican entrees, I'd choose the latter in a heartbeat!

I TOTALLY agree. my grandpa eats burgers any chance he gets (homemade or from his truck-stop diner that he manages), but I eat healthily.
my step-mother once told me that if I moved into my grandparents I'd be fat, lazy, and have diabetes. not true; my grandmother makes a LOT of healthy meals and they're delicious!

sure, I snack a bit to much and have a bit of a gut, but it's better than when I used to look like a starving ethiopian kid!

Healthy eating is a simple equation, that's it. Are you burning more calories than you are consuming. It really is as simple as that.

EXACTLY. I have my fast food burger or chicken sandwhich once a week and I eat healthy meals the rest of the week to balance it out. It's just common sense...too bad almost nobody has that anymore.

I eat McDonalds and KFC at least three times a week, work at Arby's and binge there during my shift, and still manage to always stay under 130 lbs. Why? BECAUSE I EXERCISE AND TAKE A MULTIVITAMIN. 100 sit-ups, 50 push-ups and 40 minutes on the treadmill every day, plus when I don't eat fast food I eat small meals every 2 hours. So to everyone who hates fast food and thinks it's evil: I'M PROOF OTHERWISE.

I approve of this message, Sale.

THANK YOU!! OK I may not like KFC but this is for any food for me, if I eat dessert (after dinner of course) in public everyone looks like I'm eating trash. I may not be a walking skeleton like those who do call average "fat", skinny "fat, chubby "fat", and themselves still "fat", but I eat my food in moderation. You know what I eat before that slice of cake or whatever the fuck I'm eating? A few carrots, maybe nothing if it's a school day and all I eat is breakfast then go to dinner when I get home. We need to know how to control ourselves.
