Someone asked me why I don’t create my own characters, and I nervously laughed it off citing that I enjoyed working on other character designs and redesigns to eventually get me to a comfort zone to begin doing that.
So that sank in…..and I did this…

People, don't kill me for this, but I do have some critiques* here. First, is the front character supposed to be that orange or am I looking at it wrong? And secondly, the characters in the back could have been drawn full body instead of looking copied and pasted. Overall, I like your original piece.

Soooooo killing you....lol. To answer your questions: YES she's suppose to be that orange and the other was the characters are barely fleshed out so I was more intent on getting the piece done with the main character, and lazily threw in those two. As the project begins to take shape they'll (hopefully) become more clear and redefined.

Your designs are the slickest, so I'd definitely like to see you work on your own pieces. That would be super cool.

I like it! The facial marks on the two background figures are especially nice. Overall, it has almost has a modernized Jules Verne or Edgar Rice Burroughs feel to it (monacle guy, regal looking & not-quite-human woman, Earth in theb background).
