Man, I don’t even know her code-name anymore, is it still Marvel Girl? Problably not. To be honest, don’t understand her current look. The spikes, the jacket, the…manga-eqsue look to her. I understand that it's like a throwback to her Hellhound/Excaliber days, but still. In my first try with her I thought merging ideas would make a better product, but *I* failed at that. So I took I her color scheme, this time around, and reworked the whole idea to at LEAST play in the sandbox of what *I’ve* done so far. She’s bright as hell, but it works for Rogue, so….Related content

Her current design is overkill. I recognize where they were drawing inspiration for the look. As you said, her hound days with Excalibur, the red and gold of the dark Phoenix and the tailed trench coat to represent a phoenix's tail. Then there are the buckles and pouches, ugh... Your design is much less busy and easily harkens back to the current designs motivations without being in excess. My only issue would be the thick black lines on the leg. They're unbalanced with the rest of the usage of black in the costume. Otherwise, I like this a lot.

good catch! Yeah, I think when I was constructing the design, there was more black in her torso which would have given it a bit better balance. And then I crossed her arms. *sigh* DESIGNS!!
