A more throwback to pre-52 with MAYBE a smidge of Nu52. For me, the cowl is a must, its different from everyone else named Robin, makes him stand out more. I was a bit concerned about making the cowl red, but I suppose you can’t be “RED” Robin without a bunch of red. I connected the cape to the harness so its one thing, so in a pinch he can extend out his ‘wings’ or ditch the cape all together. Had to give the nod to the Titans with his belt.Related content

What sells this one most for me is just the sleek simplicity of it. The piping on a lot of New 52 costumes feels messy and inappropriate for some costumes, but this one never feels like it's getting in the way; rather, it highlights the body outline rather organically, which is really cool. I can't gush enough over that cape design, too. I don't know why, but it gives him this vagabond/drifter attitude that really stands out from the traditional hero-cape. Really impressive design.

Its a prime example of a.....locked style. Its my same opinion about Jim Lee. Only Jim
Lee can draw Jim Lee. When Eddy Barrows took over Teen Titans, you could IMMEDIATELY
see that Brett Booth's design was not going to fly with Barrows style.
There has to be a good design that everyone can do, not just a couple of people.

The cowl....was a conscious choice trying to set him apart from the other Bats other than Batman. I wanted to give off the idea that Tim believes himself to be next in line for the cowl by somewhat shaping his look in the direction of Bruce, rather than moving away from that look like Dick and the Robins do.

That just drives me crazy, when a character has a COLOR in their name and yet....little or no of that color anywhere. Like Black Canary's current look. WHY THE BLUE?! ARRRRGH!

Wow, that's a really cool design. It's quite unique (I can't say I've ever seen anything like it before) but still manages to connect to his previous designs. Also, I love your coloring, it looks amazing and together with those strong outlines, gorgeous.

And it really wasn't that hard to do! Thats the frustrating things about some of these N52 costumes, just a little tweaking can achieve the same effect.

Looks pretty amazing as always! Oh btw I'm going to go back and rework the magik piece I did for our art trade a while ago since I think now I can do better and because my half was nowhere near as good as your half of the trade!
