Description A Crossrail Class 345 stands at the reopened Heathrow Terminal 4 ready to leave on route to London Paddington.

At the time it was taken, Terminal 4 had only just reopened after COVID. Both the Elizabeth and Piccadilly line stations reopened alongside the terminal. Before the station closed, it was served by Class 360’s on TFL Rail.

The station does not have Platform Screen Doors, as the station was served by the Class 360, which has a different door layout. Same applies to the Heathrow Express 387s. Therefore, none of the Crossrail stations at Heathrow can have Passenger Screen Doors.

The station opened in 1998 for Heathrow Express and Connect services. It has two platforms compared to the Tube Station but only one’s ever really used.

Consider this a bonus photo of the new Elizabeth Line stations, since the station reopened when the core opened.
