A while back, I was looking around DA, and decided I'd try drawing a few artist's original characters. I think my goal will be to draw 5 DA Artist's characters (Hey, I don't want to be TOO ambitious. Haha)This is one I sketched a while ago, but never got around to submitting it til now.
This time it's, 's character Toby.
I liked his big, sad eyes.Done in pencil with texture and a little more shadow added digitally.

Aww, this is so sweet! I absolutely love the delicate nature of your style and all the flowing details and I think you've applied this to Toby so wonderfully well. On top of that, I'm honoured that you've chosen to draw him. You've presented him in a way that I could never possibly do so. He looks like a small fish in a big pond and that 'first day at school' expression is just... well, I just want to pick him up and keep him.

You're welcome! I'm glad you like it. I tried to make it look old fashioned color and look that you use, while adding the sort of swirly-round (and short, haha) look tend to draw.
He does have that "first day of school" look about him.
He's stepping into an unknown world of big kids and bullies and he's standing there clutching his little hands together.
