Description
Edit: OMG, A DDEdit 2: If you are using 7x, instead of inputting the locations manually, just base the locations of the transforms on the screenshots. Something about the way the program recognizes locations changed with this new one.
I promise I'll reply to all the fav's and comments later tonight I don't want to forget anyone
Oh, and I don't know who hit print request, but I won't make this image available for it. I'll make the actual fractal which is titled Storm (same image) available for it instead. Thank you for the interest
The download includes a 75 page tutorial on how to make four different fractals. Its really detailed and I've spent the past two weeks writing it.
Its mostly pictures though so don't worry about a long reading.
I really hope you guys enjoy this, I've never put this much work into anything.
The download also includes a pack of 100 gradients, and a .flame file of the contents of this tutorial.
For quick navigation of the tutorial I have included a contents page, simply click on the listing of the area you wish to view. The .pdf will automatically take you to the area.

I suggest going ahead and updating to Apophysis7x.
I haven't re-tested this tutorial anyways with 2.09. Sorry

Just make sure not to mess with the pitch and you should have the old school version.
As for video tutorials, I'm not sure if there are any. I'm sorry

OH, if you're using Apo7x then the location coordinates will not work correctly. Just position the transforms like how they're positioned in the screenshots. Sorry I wrote this for Apo 2.083D, something drastically changed in the updated version.

I look forward to understanding what you mean by that.
I just started hanging out in ApoChat, so I should be up to speed shortly.

Alright in the tutorial you'll see stuff like:
X-position: 0, 0
Y-position: 0,0
Origin: 0,0
(these aren't actual coordinates I'm just using them as examples).
That's what I mean by coordinates, on the transform tab of the transform window is where you enter them. And by transform I mean the triangle things you're moving around on the grid.
Now if you use Apop7x if you enter in those coordinates it won't work what so ever. So you just arrange the transforms just like the screenshot's and you'll be fine
Aposhack could probably explain it better You've found the right place to ask questions
Good luck!

Have fun, with this one follow the screenshots instead of location coordinates. They're outdated and won't work correctly otherwise

I'm messing with "Vespers" and have come up on a typo? on page 47, first sentence.
-Rings2 0.25 which looks closer to your image when set to .025. The first setting threw up a wall around the city. Hmm, maybe I should build a fortified city... Apo 7x15

Which transform is it an alternative of? I'll take a look through the flame file (I've removed the tutorials from my computer but I have the files on an external hard drive. All of my data from the tutorial was around 5GB LOL)

My search was easier than yours. I just started with my oldest params first and they're still on the hard drive until the end of the year. Then I tryed to upload all three which gave me a warning message - culprit ID'd.

Thank you for this grand tutorial. It is very well done.
I was able to make my Masterpiece Society with this tutorial. And although these next two fractals are completely different they both started off as my Masterpiece Society fractal. I just played with the variations. [link] and [link] . So many thanks

Thank you If you think this one is big wait for my next one
Its already over 200 pages
Its not as detailed though but its pretty precise (It can't be as detailed due to having 12 main fractals and a few hundred alternative fractals
)
If you want an early preview of it go to planetrenders.net and to the forums. If you look in the news section you'll see several PR magazine posts. Follow the links and you'll find ten of the tutorials In the PDF issues there are the full versions of the tutorials.

My suggestion is to save a fractal at each transform, that way you won't lose your work! (I've done this many a time myself sadly enough )

If you're using Apop 7x make sure to just go by the screenshots when it comes down to where you place the transforms. The location coordinates will not work with that program.
