Belphi is the demon prince of Sloth. He’s lazy by name, lazy by nature. His room is a mess, he has servants to dress him, his ears are tattered, his demonic horns covered in cobwebs, his hair is long and tied back in a braid for convenience. He only cuts it when he begins to trip over it. The main mess in his room is caused by blueprints for his inventions. He is a keen inventor creating whatever comes to mind. Whether he actually gets round to making prototypes is another story.

Belphi is overly intelligent but that intelligence materialises into sarcasm and witty barbs that are mostly offensive. For that reason Belphi has few friends. His closest friends are Lau Shaolin, Blaire ( ~naminooo ), Mammon, prince of Avarice ( ~smilingmask ) and Mer (: ~angel-half ).

He met Mer through his now ex-friend Astaroth, prince of wrath (also ~angel-half ). Asta made Mer through cloning another EP. When he made her Asta created Mer’s heart as a bomb which he could set of any time he wished to. Belphi discovered this and Mer who was initially confused looked to him for help. Belphi promised her she wouldn’t die and set about creating a replacement heart for her.

While installing the device, Astaroth discovered them, going ballistic and detonating the bomb, fortunately Belphi has installed the casing and Mer was saved. However the energy from the bomb now serves as Mer’s heart, and eventually, that power is going to run out. Belphi created a full replacement heart for her which will now sustain her for longer than a regular human’s lifespan.

Normally, Belphi doesn’t interact with others, he’s quite anti-social. He can be incredibly selfish and normally ends up pissing the people he meets off, that’s why he’s isolated himself to such an extent. However in the case of Mer, he actually tries. He knows how much she relies on him and he also cares for her more than anyone else. Her intuition and quick learning, make her the ideal lab partner, and her bright personality he finds oddly attractive.
