Hey, of course you can! I do it all the time and I'm totally fine alhamdulillah!
As long as the food hasn't got a green color, a bad smell, a fur or legs I'd eat it. In fact that's why people have fridges, no? (:
But you're right about the animal aspect..

haha to say the truth, I am REALLY afraid of food once it passes a day or two. I had risked poisoning one day, so I guess that's what making me afraid like that haha
Now now, fur or legs on food?
I usually cook just what i know I'll be able to eat, because I hate throwing out food too.
