Description
"Details of what happened to Bruce Banner at the Hadron mUon Lateral Collider (HULC) are still murky at best. The "HULC event" seems impossible to reproduce, as indicated by China's failed attempts with their own lateral collider. We do know that seven hours before initial test runs Dr. Banner and Dr. Elizabeth Ross entered the test chamber, which activated prematurely due to a short circuit. Dr. Ross escaped in time, Dr. Banner did not. Contrary to the predictions of modern physics, he survived the test, and when stressed or injured will now transform into a large humanoid of seemingly limitless strength. The purpose of the HULC was to prove or disprove several conjectures of string theory, primarily the existence of more than four dimensions (three spatial, one time). Indeed, it appears to have been a success of sorts. Observations of the creature Dr. Banner becomes indicate that it exists orthogonally to us, and is summoned or reconnected to Bruce whenever his mental state is similar to what it was within the test chamber.
Evidence for the extra-dimensionality of Dr. Banner's "Hulk" state is the following:
-Lensing, similar to gravitational lensing occurring during his transformations, suggesting a spatial disturbance.
-The transformation appears to involve increased mass with no source, I propose that it is not actually violating conservation of mass, but is a result of Dr. Banner being a single slice of a higher dimensional being, moving sideways into our universe.
-At times, his left arm does not connect to his body. Portions of the legs and right arm also appear missing. They may simply be outside our view in 3+ space.
-If indeed the Hulk exists in 3+ spatial dimensions, it would be very massive, with a volume to the 3+ power, rather than the third power like us. This could account for his increased strength, though it would also suggest it should weigh more than the two tons it actually does.
I cannot stress how important a result like this would be to advancing current theories on the nature of the universe, and could prove useful in defending the Earth. Respectfully, I would like to request funding from SHIELD to continue research into this phenomenon."
-Excerpt from special report to Director Fury from Dr. Ohnn.
Another fun two hour "comic cover" for WTFavengers. Plus I finally put what he is up on DA, mostly I've been discussing it on my tumblr. [link]

This is a great idea! That Bruce Banner is a host for what Lovecraft would call an eldritch abomination is much more asskickingly cooler than the actual Hulk depicted in the comic books, and I would definitely read your Hulk comics. Eldritch entities and hard sci-fi physics is always a good combination. Are there more comics and series that you have made a morre creatively bizarre revamp of?

Thanks!
Most of my Avengers revamp is located here: turbofanatic.deviantart.com/ga…
That's pretty much it for reimaginations I've done.

Your stories are more enticing than the source material.

Haha! Well, some of it, there's some really good comics out now

You had me at "HULC."
Very interesting point about his mass being a few powers higher with more spatial dimensions. That's something I'd never considered with a concept like this.

Thanks! Yeah, that's something I haven't seen with 4D stuff yet, the difference in mass. It makes for a convenient explanation of his strength though!

I know it's orthagonal but every time I read the word I get the sound clip from this piece [link] in my head. Now I'm imagining the entire song with the word "orthagonal" instead.
I guess Bruce is kiiinda having an orthagonal child?

Or he is an orthogonal child, or both

The quantum reboot should be the new fad after the gritty reboot. Imagine explaining Captain America with the electroweak force, quantum field theory and throw in some Bose-Einstein condensates just for the hell of it.
That little cube in perspective has shown up a couple times already. The Hellflower 'said' it and it showed up in Aphelion while Babyface meme-punched a guy. I wonder if it has some special significance to you or if it just that you think it looks neat
