Description “Look at me.” A stern voice called out. It was a mare. A young mare. She had to be just a kid from the sounds of it. “Or I feed you to the wolves...”

...

I was right. Standing before me was a young pony. A pegasus. She was small framed. She couldn’t be any older than a teenager. Her hide was a gunmetal grey, with a few spots that were a slightly darker shade. Her mane was and tail were jet black, with a copper and silver colored stripe going through each. Her mane had a sort of punkish style to it. Her right eye was a similar copper color. The left eye, however, was hidden behind a slightly dirty bandage that was wrapped around her head multiple times. There was a dried blood spot where her left eye would have been. Her ear on the same side was much, much, shorter than her right ear. It looked like it had been torn off. Not cut, but gruesomely torn, as the edge was tattered looking The pegasus’ right foreleg was being held in a leg brace. It had an odd look to it that I was familiar with. The leg had been broken, but the break wasn’t set right and it had healed wrong. --Excerpt from Chapter 11, The Quick and The Dead [link]

As a filly, Tinker lived in the town of Coltstead, a small, humble community in the Regolith Badlands. One day, the under-guarded town was attacked by raiders, who had set it on fire the day before. Those that weren't killed, were either taken away or left to die. Tinker was one the raiders' 'toys' that they left to die.

About a week later, Hyperion (a full body cyberpony, Gladius III) went to explore the town, thinking that there might be something of value in the decimated runes. The only thing he found was Tinker, the last survivor of the Coltstead massacre. At the time, she was only 6 and didn't really know how to take care of herself. Severe frostbite and gangrene had taken her left wing, while a screwdriver to the face mutilated her left eye (thanks to the raiders). They'd also broken her foreleg, just for shiggles.

Hyperion found her and, rather than 'put her out of her near dead misery', took her in. Her foreleg never healed right, resulting in a permanent leg brace, and her wing ended up falling off. She wore a bandage over her eye as a sort of eye-patch, since it isn't a pretty sight (no pun intended).

Fast forward a few years (about 5)... Tinker and Hyperion wandered around the Outlands, looking for a place to settle down. They heard of a place in Lychwood Greens, a creepy-as-hell evergreen forest, that was just what they were looking for: secluded (neither are big fans of other ponies). On the way there, Tinker tripped off the trail and into a patch of Killing Joke. Don't worry, though. She's 'alright' now.

Xero, Tes, and Foxtrot when to the BioTec Facility in the Greens (where unbeknownst to them, Tinker and Hyperion were staying) to retrieve some data disks. It was a quite a surprise to the team when they found Tinker (now 17) and Hyperion in the supposedly abandoned research lab.

Tinker and Hyperion now follow Xero, but only until they find a place they think they'll like to stay.

Personality wise, she's very smart and quick with a joke, even if it's tastelessly dark. She has a deep mental attachment to Hyperion, and almost never leaves his side (more for her own safety than his). She has an uncanny ability to repair almost everything with almost anything. She's also one hell of a shot with a rifle.

Author's/my note: As with Foxtrot, the in-story description doesn't completely match the visual description. The story's didn't look as nice when I drew it out (body build/size, mane color is more of an 'axle grease black' than jet black). This will be the story's re-write interpretation.

Correction... it's over her left eye (from our perspective, it would be our right).

Tinker probably, my favorite character. I hope Xero will find a way to patch her up.

The effects of Killing Joke are kinda troublesome, aren't they?

Zebras knows cure decoction for Poison\Killing joke isn't? It's quite common stuff for zebra shamans, how I understand. Ingredients are problem, though.
Dunno, you writer. You fuckin right anyway. And nobody forcing people to read anyway too.
