TUCKER/SIDNEY: Are...you okay?TANYA/DESIREE: I'm not sure. It's like every time I look at a mirror today, I just don't seem like myself.
This is just a picture I felt like throwing together. Anyone who's read my fanfics will be familiar with Desiree's new look, as well as why she's spending time with Sidney Poindexter. They'll also recognize my OC, Tanya, Tucker's former secretary, now campaign manager as he begins his election run (and with any luck, his future Deputy Mayor). Since Tanya and Desiree share many similar physical features and Tucker and Sidney are both decidedly nerd-like, this seemed like a fun setup to do, showing the two of them reflecting off each other. But only Desiree and Tanya seem to notice something strange happening, which will undoubtedly lead them doing more weird things in front of mirrors while Tucker and Sidney try to figure out what's going on.
It's worth noting that this may also be a request pic. I know I remember discussing this concept with someone here, but I don't remember offhand who it was or whether or not they actually requested that I draw it. As such, this won't be counted towards my new 10-request limit in this art set. But if this WAS a request, I hope it meets with someone's approval. And I hope everyone else appreciates it just as much.^_^

True, while the other beauty is more like the big sister the other nerd never had (whether or not she ends up becoming like the big sister he always WANTED remains to be seen). But yeah, the point of this pic was to more or less illustrate surface similarities.

Well, we don't know exactly which country Desiree hailed from in her life, but I think she's either Indian or Middle-Eastern.
As for Tanya, yeah, she's black.

Yeah, that was definitely the impression I got. To that end, I might lighten her skin tone a little bit if she was still human. Luckily, that's not an issue.

Oh trust me, Desiree and Sidney aren't going ANYWHERE. I have quite a few stories where they'll be getting involved. In fact, one will be coming down the pike about three or four stories from now, in a story which will completely alter the nature of Danny and Sam's relationship...in a good way (something I've been building up to almost since my series began). While the role they play won't be essentially large (they'll exist mostly as a catalyst to get the ball rolling), their appearance will essentially reinforce just how desperately Desiree needed someone like Sidney to come into her "life" and how she'll fight to defend their connection. It's not all about her anymore. It's about something much bigger.

I have no answer for that, to be honest. It's honestly the only effect I could come up with that MIGHT explain how Desiree and Tanya are able to look into a mirror and see each other. I just threw in the portal energy for added effect, because I knew it would look better than just a Plain-Jane divider.
