Well, here we are. With Halloween only days away, it would pretty irresponsible of me to not throw in a Halloween-themed pic for everyone's enjoyment. So here...we...go.This pic is based on my Danny Phantom fanfic, "Royal Occupation". Set against the backdrop of Halloween, where lots of Casper High students are gracing the school in costume, Sam decides to throw everyone for a loop by coming to school dressed as Danny, of all people. Naturally, this comes as a surprise to most, who were naturally expecting Sam to show up, decked out in an ultra-elaborate, uber-dark, mega-creepy costume. But Sam turns her initially plain outfit on its head by showing there's more than one way to be creepy, as she basically made her costume choice just so she can make out with Danny at school all day and freak everybody else out while she does it. Judging by Tucker and Valerie's reaction, it looks like the plan is coming together nicely.^_^
I have to be honest, I really wasn't sure if I was going to get this pic finished in time. Never mind all the work that had to go into this pic with all the characters on the page and the background (to say nothing of the fact that this was my first time drawing Armored Valerie and there was quite a bit of guess-and-test involved, getting certain details right). But what ended up happening was, I tore up my thumb at work last week (actually, I tore up BOTH my thumbs) and I wasn't sure if it was going to heal enough by the weekend to even TRY and get this pic done. Fortunately, it looks as though luck was on my side (well, that and A LOT of Polysporin), so I was able to sit down and bang this pic out. Definitely gonna want my next pic to be a simpler one, though, but I'm immensely pleased with how this one turned out. Hope everyone else feels the same way.^_^

If you say so. If my own plot bunnies win out and I end up writing the DP fics poking my brain, would you mind my making use of that plot device? It seems like a natural extension of that episode where Sam dressed as Danny to fool his enemies, but with the Halloween costume specifics I figured I should ask.

Oh, that's okay. That's why, when I post my stories on fanfiction.net, I make sure to include a list of all the stories that came before in the form of Author's Notes. That way, it best ensures that readers follow the timeline set up.

Okay, first of all, so glad you liked the story (I was just notified of you Faveing it on ff.net). Hope you like the rest just as much and tell me what you think.
As for your question regarding whether or not the whole world knows Danny's identity now, believe me, you're not the first person to come to me with this issue. So I've pretty much got my response down-pat at this point. I know the general consensus among a lot of fans is that, as of "PHantom Planet", the entire world knows Danny's secret identity now and it's a theory that's only continued to persist over the years (damn you, Wikipedia!
As for my distinctions in the story, well, I suppose you've got a point. Although this was basically my first DP fic, there were Dannys and Sams running around left and right (most of which, in the same area) and at the time, I needed SOME way to distinguish between them all and I couldn't think of anything else. At least you weren't coming at me about the exclamation marks, because I've DEFINITELY gotten enough of THOSE kind of critiques. Again, I'm not complaining about that. It's just, it was my first story and I wanted to add emphasis to the action scenes and I thought the exclamation marks would be the best way to do that. Chalk it up to an experiment that failed.
As for ff.net, it's actually been around longer than a mere seven years. In fact, fanfiction.net has been around for almost as long as there's been an internet.

Wow really fast reply! I agree with only a small group of people knowing his secret, it just always seems to change from author to author, besides I'm not a big fan of the world knowing his secret. Bigger secrets than a half-ghost hybrid? Not to sure about that.

Well, with Danny's identity, you at least know where I stand on that.
As for the exclamation marks, I wouldn't say people have gotten riled up about it. These are actual CIVILIZED people. They've never pointed something out in the absolute rudest or angriest way possible just so they can be jerks and hide behind their internet anonymity. They've just gone out of their way to point out that it was kind of a turn-off for them. And in retrospect, they're right. I'm not going to say they're not.
As for the age of DP, well, it should also be a sign of the show's continued popularity when people still clamor to it. Of course, it probably doesn't help when we keep getting bait-and-switch rumors every so often about the show being possibly picked up again.
But anyway, glad you enjoyed the story and think that highly of it. Hopefully, the rest of the stories I've written (so far) will be just as enjoyable for you.^_^

I don't have a doubt that the rest of your series is just as great or better than the first fic. Oh and I was reffering more to the people that use all caps and loads of exclamation points to yell? about everything just to make other people mad. It starts way too many comment wars.

Well, I don't have a problem with caps in comments. I use caps quite a bit for emphasis in my words because I find it easier and clearer than trying to put a word in bold type or something, which can sometimes go missed.
Exclamation points, I've often found is used to express excitement in comments, so I don't mind that, either. I often find certain levels of excitement to be cute. Of course, I can understand how not everyone can feel that way. So if someone asks not to use caps of exclamation marks and people do it anyway, just to be jerks, I can see how that could spark some flareups.

I have to say, I was kind of surprised that this pic brought out many of the same feelings in the AUDIENCE as it did in the CHARACTERS (I was intending for only Tucker and Valerie to be freaked out by this. But I suppose I should take it as a compliment, to be able to elicit that kind of response.

Watch Regular Show. It his AMAZING. It's like a toned down version of The Simpsons. Very funny, with some action sequences.

Oh, I'm not knocking the show. I never knock something I've never seen. And I felt the same way about Kim Possible until I started watching it. I'm just saying that at the present time, my interest in The Regular Show is just not there.

Again, we'll see. I tend to trust my gut on these things and have a pretty good idea whether something will appeal to me or not. It's just too bad that my curiosity overrode my caution when I wasted all of yesterday watching the anime, "Attack on Titan" on Netflix. Part of me felt I was going to regret it, and you know what? I did, because while the animation was top notch, the story sucked, because when it was over, it kicked me out with more questions than I had going in.

Well, I'll set aside "that" ship, since I've never truly understood it. But I saw it as being perfectly innocent, seeing as how we've seen Sam dress like this before. I wasn't expecting it to get the kind of audience reaction it did (though I suppose I SHOULD take some small measure of pride in that).

Actually, Sam dressed up as Danny twice. First in the episode you mentioned, "Girls' Night Out". And then once more in the episode, "Forever Phantom". As much as both situations were out of necessity at the time, frankly, I also think she got something of a guilty thrill out of it.
Despite the disturbing nature of the image, however (which many people seem to be with you on). I'm glad you like how it looks. You know the funny thing is, up until a VERY few years ago, I would have told you that emulating another person's art style would have been impossible for me. I guess my artistic eye has evolved somewhat. This was definitely one of the pics I'm more proud of and it always does me good to hear that someone thinks I'm doing the style justice.^_^

Well, that's not a very surprising reaction. Actually, more than one person has admitted to being disturbed by this pic, as well. There was one, because until they read the description, they thought Sam was actually Danielle (not quite sure how they think Danielle would have aged...I'm guessing they haven't read my fanfic series ^_^). And a few others who were uncomfortable with the pic, regardless of the fact that it was Sam. I'll admit, my intention for this scene was for it to be freaky to the characters and not the audience. But if that effect has managed to bleed out of the fourth wall a little bit, I suppose I can take a small measure of pride in that as well.
