"There's a first time for everything."Truer words were never spoken and case in point with my latest Danny Phantom pic. This one is based on a scene from my fanfic, "Hearts and Minds". After narrowly escaping Nocturne's dream world, where he sealed away their memories of each other, here we have Danny and Sam on the roof of Casper High, during a school dance. This image shows Danny and Sam sharing a warm moment after just moments ago, saying out loud for the first time that they love each other.
Without a doubt, the hardest part of this whole pic was Sam's dress. The original pencil drawing was difficult enough (it must have taken me at least five or six tries before I finally came up with a spider web design that I thought worked). But the hard lines and color were what turned out to be the real nightmare, what with the webs, the fishnets, and most complicated, the semi-transparent shawl she's got draped over her arms. I can think of at least half a dozen ways off the top of my head that I could have made this ordeal A LOT easier on myself. But when it was all said and done, I'm really glad I went the extra mile on this. There's just a lot more to see that wouldn't have been there if I'd gone a simpler way and I'm exceptionally proud of the end result. Hope you all feel the same.

Still, all of my fics that you can find there are here right now, except for my two Justice League Unlimited stories and my one Ranma 1/2 story. But I'll probably get those put up here at some point in the foreseeable future.

Well, maybe someone will at some point. As for me, I've got a few things of my own to work on, not the least of which are a couple of Christmas-themed pics which I'd like to get done over the next few days.

Well, you know Sam. She's all about being different. That's why this time, I had her ditch the ponytail for this outfit and instead had her comb her hair down the right side of her face, almost like a veil of sorts. It just struck me as a look she'd like to go for.

I figured throwing in a few of her own unique touches (like the hair and the spider web design and the fishnets) would definitely be appropriate. Especially since the overall look of the dress and things like the glitter blush are kind of like what a lot of other girls would wear. And Sam isn't into being like the other girls (although I'm not sure she'd really have a problem with glitter blush).

Well, I find that as long as she's doing her own thing, she rarely does.

Well, that's hard to argue. Although at the time, I think Danny was a little too focused on fighting for his life and worrying about his own body betraying him to focus on how hot she looked. Of course, now he can think about that all he wants (especially in my fanfics, which I hope you've had a chance to check out, by the way).

Well, everyone has their own way of approaching things. As for me, I did write a Kim Possible/Jake Long crossover story (it's called "Monkey Power, American Dragon"), but if you're interested in that one at all, you might want to read my story, "The More Things Change..." first, just to avoid any possible confusion.

Glad you think so. I know that was certainly the effect I was going for. Hope you like the fanfic that this picture is based on just as much. Well, we'll see what this next week has to offer. I'd like to get at least a couple of Christmas-theme pics under my belt. At least one of the two might not get finished before the big day, but it's hardly unheard of for people to post belated Christmas pics.

Well, I know I've got two pictures lined up. A Kim Possible pic and a Danny Phantom pic. The Danny Phantom pic is definitely going to end up being the much more ambitious project as opposed to my Kim Possible pic, just for the simple fact that there are going to be WAY more people in (my KP pic is just going to be Kim and Ron). But if everything goes according to plan, they'll both look really good when they're done.

Glad to hear it. Like I said, I'm really proud with how this one turned out, particularly the sequins on Sam's dress and the transparent effect of her shawl. It just really came out the way I wanted it to.
For the record, I'll probably get to work on your next request pic tomorrow. Like I said, that one's going to be pretty simple and it shouldn't take me more than a day to finish.
