The lasso tool's also good for adding the tails on balloons, although it takes a little practice.

Yeah the lasso tool works well if you have a steady hand (I don't - which is part of the reason I use SAI instead of photoshop to actually draw my comics) or aren't perfectionistic about everything being super smooth like I am! ^_^

No problem! It took me a lot of digging to figure out how to use the pen tool, so I wanted to share what I'd learned!
