Description
Kinda different style, aye?Kangaskhan will never be a kangaroo to me. End of the story. This is how I see it. Something between reptile and mammal... maybe a different branch from synapsids, or maybe some sort of weird pangolin-like masurpial thing if you like.

I have to agree with you. Only similarity to a kangaroo is the pouch, in my opinion.
Very nice job!

Yeah this definitely has my vote for best Realistic Kanga! It's armor plates, thick proportions and fangs, I could never really see it as a kangaroo too :3 Glad you made this the way I pictured it too!

That's pretty neat. I like the vertical pouch opening instead of the traditional horizontal.
FUN FACT: Kangaskahn was originally supposed to be Marowak's evolved form, and that was supposed to be a Cubone in its pouch. But they decided that Cubone wearing its mother's skull was too dark for kids so they made Kangaskahn a separate pokemon (yet left the skull thing in Cubone's description anyway). I wish they'd left it alone because Marowak evolving into Kangaskahn would be epic and I would so totally catch Cubone more often!

That's more of a a "Fun Fan Theory", as it has never been proven and there is even evidence against that idea ever existing in the creators heads.
Anyway, I do adore this Kangaskhan OuO I never thought they seemed like kangaroos either to be honest.

nice pic ^^
It's a shame that the only thing different in Mega-Kanga is that her child comes out, while all the other Mega-Pokemon have fancy stuff on their bodies

And I think it's perfect. Mother uses stone on her baby so it can be stronger. Just like any other real mother would do.

This is really cool! Yes, I love the idea of it being sort of a protomammal, reptilian-esque creature. I love the detail around the lips and chin. And the baby sticking out? Too cute!

Is this available as a print? I would definitely buy one, the style captures the feel of a tourist postcard very well.

Unfortunatelly, it isn't avaiable as a print. Fanarts aren't allowed as prints on DeviantArt anyways.

I also thought that Kangaskhan wasn't a kangaroo, but a masupial-like creature.

never knew you don't find it much of a "kangaroo", but I do admit it seems rather monsterious to look like one. Mix feelings I guess, but I really love this.
