Description
Guadalupe Beach / Guadalupe Sand Dunes National Wildlife Refuge / California - Spring, 2009This point is at the very end of a stretch of endless beach that runs over 15 miles along California's Central Coast. As you travel, mile upon mile along the beaches, by and by you once again come upon a large jetting of rocks erupting from the wet sand, then large rocks halfway out of the shallow undertow then the massive cliffs that extend into the sea. In this photo, you can clearly see the sharp rock that extends out to lick the salty air, reminiscent of an elephants trunk. Imagine coming upon this for the first time, feeling like you were the first one to see it.

The waves give off this "painted" feel. Really nice~! I can see why you call it Elephant rock!
