Description Finally finished! Yus! And I remembered the reins this time, after nearly forgetting them again (get it together Twiggy   )
This one was a struggle. I don't really like it, at all. And there's an Instagram filter on there for good measure, because it looked flat and I couldn't figure out how to fix it. Meh.

Nicki, we need to get some food in you. You're starting to look too skinny here But, yay at finally getting Tal to look more wolf-ish. Okay, I'll shut up now and get to the story.

The train started to slow it's pace, easing into a stop. Nicholas shifted his position in the saddle, tugging the reins, as they caught up with the group. His own heart was pounding, thankful he hadn't been left behind. That would have sucked. Traveling this far just to have to go straight home, again.

"Easy," he said, just loud enough for Autumn to hear. The mare trotted to to edge of the batch of horses. Tal stayed next to them, panting and blinking the dust out of her eyes.

After a shout of orders, the ramps of the middle cars were let down. It was noisy. Loud clattering and voices and not to mention the whistle of the engine. Autumn was fine, though. Only flicking her ears in response. The fur on the back of Tal's neck rose. She growled at the commotion ahead of them, catching the attention of one of the other dogs.

"Hey, stop," Nicholas commanded. Tal threw him a look. Who do you think you're talking to? she seemed to ask.

"Don't make me get the leash out."

He was answered with a huff. But, she didn't make anymore fuss, after that. Leaving them to patiently wait their turn to load. Some of the horses weren't happy with this unexpected turn of events. There was just too much going on around them. It was a little unnerving to Nicholas, being in this crowd. It wasn't the horses. No, that he was used to. Most of the horses at the stable he worked at were chill and laid back, but the show horses here "hot" and tended to be tempermental about getting into a trailer. Multiply the trailer by five, add a shrill whistle, and well, this is what you get. Which was why he decided to choose Autumn when Ryan asked which horse he wanted to take.

Yeah, horses were fine, it was the people...they seemed nice enough, but he'd learned the hard way that appearing to be nice meant nothing. He could already feel his stomach muscles tightening up, when he had to jump out of the saddle to bring Autumn and that dog into the car. His hands were sweaty and he had to hold tightly to Autumn's bridle to keep himself calm. Once inside, he glimpsed at their company. A smile and nod of the head from one of the men. Which he returned, then quickly guided Autumn to the only free corner left inside.

Tal looks so done with all of this already Nicholas definitely made the right choice bringing a horse who isn't bothered by things like trains

Tal was done before they even got there, haha Yes, he did. A calm, sturdy horse was definitely the best choice.
