Thanks, I never knew about the smoothing tool! Combined with the smoothing tool and erasing effects really improves.

yeah... one of my teacher's computer that has the new version of flash has that "pressure" option. It does give it that line affect from the tutor but its not exact ^_^ depends on how you wanna work with it. Either way would work I guess.

Interesting technique, definitely suitable as a workaround for working with a regular mouse.
If you have a pressure-sensitive tablet (www.wacom.com to name a manufacturer) or can spare about $100 for a decent one, you can draw lines of varying width by selecting the "Use Pressure" option (looks like a tear drop, located in the drawing options section of the Tools panel). You can do this in Photoshop as well.
